Cynthia M. Little, the mother of two wonderful daughters, has 21+ years experience in parenting - some years better than others, but all of them entertaining! She works as a Realtor® and lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and daughters.
Cynthia's passion for writing started at a young age. She began writing poetry in middle school. Most of her poems centered around everyday experiences- especially the ups and downs of love as a teenager. She discovered that her best poems were written when she was "supposedly" madly in love, or the complete opposite - in deep agony because of problems associated with being madly in love. Even today, she is more inspired to write when things are going really well in her life or when things are not going so well!
Cynthia's first book, Life Lessons Before "I Do": Things I Wish I Knew! is inspired by her first-born, Deandra (better known as Dee Dee). She wanted to give her daughter some beforehand knowledge about relationships, love, and marriage. With the help of family, friends and other parents, the pieces of advice and words of wisdom developed into a book.
Meet Deandra! Deandra just graduated cum laude from Howard University with a B.A. degree in Communications in May 2005. She plans to work in the television production industry. She has future ambitions to attend graduate school.
She has already accomplished some great things in her short life, including induction into the Golden Key International Honors Society, Squad member on BET's (Black Entertainment Television) Teen Summit show, music video performances, and modeling. Watch out! I think you will be hearing more about this ambitious young lady in the near future.
