Mom's Imaginary Child
"I loved it!! I think that it definitely targets the second to fifth grade audience. One reason is because kids that age go through what the character Dominique goes through and they can relate to her dilemmas. The book not only pointed out Dominique's struggles at school but brought it home for them to see. So many kids think that their parents are crazy for one reason or another and this book not only takes a look into the child's life but also the mothers. As an adult reading it I find myself seeing the benefit of having Domino appear but as a child reads it, I could imagine them relating to Dominique. Overall, I think that this is a fantastic book that will have kids and adults excited about it!" -- Deanna Markovina, 3rd Grade Teacher, Ashland Elementary School
"'Mom's Imaginary Child' is a story that holds true for all mothers. As a great-aunt of a third grader, I related to the story so well that I had my great niece read it. The author captured a lot of the events that I have experienced this year with my niece. Mrs. Little tells a story that is real and filled with events that are real and happens to all of us. Some of the things that Dominique takes her Mom through, I was thinking to myself, "Been there, done that!." I smiled while the author caused me to relive times with my son when he was that age. As a teacher, I would like to see this book in elementary schools. "Mom's Imaginary Child" would be a favorite of most of the students who read it." -- Cora Gorham-White, mother, aunt, and teacher
